Shopping and shops
The Shopping item in the main menu opens the shopping list of the chosen meal plan (see Week switcher in Getting started; the current week by default). The list of a particular meal plan is also on its Shopping tab. At the top are the cards of the individual shopping trips (Shopping trip 1 · Mon–Wed …) with the number of items and a price estimate; tap one to choose which list you see.
How the shopping list is calculated
The list is calculated inside the app (not by the AI): the ingredients of the recipe × the sum of the portions of the people eating. A person's portion = their calorie target / 2000.
- Items marked fresh are bought on the trip that covers the day they are eaten.
- Long-life items are bought on the first trip where they are needed.
- You set how the week is divided into shopping trips in Household → Tastes and rules → When you shop (Household). A one-off meal plan is divided into trips of at most three days.
Working with the list
Items are grouped by category (meat, vegetables, dairy…).
- Tap the circle next to everything you already have at home. Such an item is crossed out and not added to the basket.
- Add your own item – the form under the list adds to the currently selected trip. Type a name, an amount and a unit (ks, g or kg). If a shop is connected, after at least three characters its products with prices are offered; the item you choose is bought in that shop and you enter the quantity in pieces. You delete a manually added item with the cross.
- Recalculate from the meal plan – calculates the list again from the current meal plan.
- Print the list – opens the print page.
Shops and price comparison
Shops (Rohlík and Košík) are connected in Household → Shops (Household). Each group has its own account in each shop, and so its own basket. Without a connected shop you can print the list or open it on your phone.
The Shopping via … panel on the right shows four steps: get prices, tick off what you have at home, add to the basket and finish in the shop.
- Get prices (after the first pricing Price again) – the app searches every connected shop for matching products and a product and price appear next to the items. It chooses the product by rules (it must be that ingredient, in a suitable package, with the lowest price per unit, preferring a product you chose earlier). The AI is used only for ambiguous items. Pricing in one shop costs 2 operations, whether a rule or the AI chose the products. A plan without pricing refuses the button. The ingredient → product pairing is remembered for 14 days.
- Comparison – with two connected shops an item shows the prices from both and you can tap to choose where to buy it. Without a choice it is bought where it is cheapest. Choose the cheapest cancels your choices and returns everything to the cheapest shop (items already in the basket stay).
- Add to the basket – the bottom bar shows the number of items to buy and a price estimate. The button (with two shops To basket: Rohlík and To basket: Košík) adds the items that are not crossed out and were chosen for that shop to the basket. Items with a known product are added directly, without AI; the AI is used only for items without a product or ones refused by the shop. Filling the basket in one shop costs 2 operations. When it finishes, In basket ✓ · Finish in the shop is shown with a link to the shop.
You always finish the order yourself. The app never orders, pays, reserves a delivery time or removes anything from the basket.
