Household
The Household item always belongs to the current group and changes affect only it. It has five tabs:
| Tab | Content |
|---|---|
| People | People, their calorie targets and when they eat at home |
| Tastes and rules | What you don't eat, allergies, time for cooking, shopping days, advanced instructions for the AI |
| Shops | Connecting shops (Rohlík, Košík) |
| Group | Group members, renaming and deleting the group |
| Statistics | Meal plan statistics and the group's use of operations (Statistics and export) |
People
Every household member is a row with a name, a description (for example "Adult · 41 years · maintaining weight · dinner at home") and an estimate ≈ N kcal/day. Click Edit:
- Name, Year of birth, Height (cm), Weight (kg) and the switches Sex, How active (Sedentary, Somewhat, Very) and Goal (Lose weight, Maintain). For children under 16 the calorie need is calculated from age only; activity and goal are not entered.
- Own calorie target (optional) overrides the calculated value. Otherwise the target is calculated like this: adults Mifflin–St Jeor × activity, −20 % when losing weight; children 1000 + 100 × age. The target decides the portion size.
- When they eat at home – a table of meals and days. Meals switched on in green are eaten at home by the person; planning and the shopping list follow them. The presets Everything at home and Lunch out on weekdays set the table with one tap.
Save saves the changes of the person. Remove from household removes the person (the app asks). You add a new person with the Add a person button.
Tastes and rules
This is taken into account in every meal plan. One-off wishes are entered when planning.
- We don't eat, Allergies and intolerances and We like – tap to switch on the offered choices, add your own with + other. Allergies are watched strictly, what you don't eat does not appear in the meal plan, and what you like is included more often.
- Time for cooking – the longest acceptable time (preparation and cooking together) on weekdays and at the weekend, or Doesn't matter. Recipes that do not fit are never sent to the AI.
- Planning period – the day a regular meal plan starts on (Period starts on, Monday by default) and how many days it has (Length of the period, 1 to 7). By ticking Create the meal plan for the next period automatically and choosing a day (Create on), the app suggests a meal plan by itself early in the morning for the period that starts on the nearest chosen day after it. It creates it without wishes, costs 10 operations (like generating it by hand), and you find it in the overview; if it fails (for example there are not enough operations left), the reason is shown in the settings. If you already have a meal plan for that period, a second one is not created.
- When you shop – tap the days you go shopping. Each trip covers the days up to the next; under the choice you see for example "Shopping trip 1: Mon–Wed · Shopping trip 2: Thu–Fri".
- Advanced: your own instructions for the AI – a collapsed block for experienced users. It holds an editor with standing principles (Editor for instructions and wishes). Restore default puts back the default instructions managed by the system admin; a new group gets a copy of them. The settings above always take precedence over your own instructions: what you choose in We don't eat, Allergies and intolerances, We like and Cooking time, the app adds to the instructions as “Household rules”, and the AI follows them when the two disagree. After saving, an orange Conflict notice warns you when the instructions say something different (they mention a different cooking time than the one chosen, mention a food from We don't eat or Allergies and intolerances, or the same item is in both We like and We don't eat). That part of the instructions will not be used or is overridden by the setting; it can still be saved. Edit the instructions so they do not contradict each other.
Changes are saved with the Save button at the bottom. Nothing is saved by itself.
Shops
Each group connects its own account to a shop (Rohlík, Košík), and the app never sees the password. It takes about a minute.
Rohlík:
- Click Open the Rohlík sign-in and sign in.
- After you sign in, a page with the error "Cannot connect" opens (its address starts with
http://localhost). That is fine. Copy its whole address into the field and click Finish connecting.
Košík: click the sign-in button, sign in and the shop returns you to the app.
A connected shop is shown by the … is connected panel. Disconnect removes the account. Under Technical details is a list of the shop's tools; tools that could order, pay or delete from the basket are not used by the app. How prices are compared and baskets filled is in Shopping and shops.
Group
- Members – every member manages the group. Enter an e-mail and click Invite to add a member. If the e-mail already has access to the app, they are added at once; otherwise an invitation is created that waits for the admin's approval and can be cancelled until then (Cancel invitation). You remove a member with Remove, and you leave a group yourself with Leave. Everyone can be in at most 3 groups.
- Group owner – the member marked owner. It is whoever created the group. Their subscription and monthly operations limit apply to the whole group. The owner can hand the group over to another member with Hand over ownership next to their name; after that they can no longer hand it over themselves. When the owner leaves the group or the admin removes them, ownership passes to another member.
- Group name – the Rename button.
- Delete group… – permanently deletes people, meal plans, shopping lists and shop connections for all members; cookbooks and recipes remain. To confirm you have to type the group name.
